Job Title: Financial Analyst
Work Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Support CMD business on a day to day basis through creation of financial models, participation on project-level working teams, collaboration with functional experts, and preparation of financial analysis for internal use
Support for closing, forecast and reporting processes
Works across functions to report on the Integration spend (Expense and capital)
Support and implement all SOX related initiatives
Performs in-depth analysis and articulates findings to senior management
Assist in the preparation of the presentation decks for various forums.
Assist CMD Controller in monitoring product profitability, spending reviews at cost center to ensure accuracy and understanding of reported results.
Works with Operations leaders to manage the Capex and Integration spend for projects
He/she should assist in preparing cost models to support manufacturing / contract manufacturing
Provides ad-hoc financial analysis and project support.
Optimally leverages the use of Corning’s financial applications (i.e. Khalix, PeopleSoft, SAP) to deliver financial reporting and analytical deliverables.
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
3 to 5 years related experience – MGF
Attention to detail, accuracy, process-oriented and organized
Experience establishing and optimizing reporting processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting
Ability to work with ambiguity and seek out guidance early on unclear requests
Demonstrated ability to manage strong networks and relationships with other Finance teams, identifying strategic contacts and resources within the Finance organization
