Job Description:

•Manage US Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) compliance processes

•Serve as a US Fleet FMCSA subject matter expert

•Drive improvement in FMCSA performance

•Educate and train drivers and accountable managers in the FMCSA compliance process

•Develop a process to ensure all applicable drivers are incorporated into the Driver compliance management systems

•Document and optimize (FMSCA) Driver/Carrier management systems

•Develop and publish KPIs to drive a culture of FMSCA compliance

•Monitor landscape for regulatory changes and develop a proactive strategy for compliance

•Serve as company subject matter expert for Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMSCA)

•Serve as compliance liaison with third parties to ensure compliance with DQ (driver qualification) files, medical cards and random drug testing

•Liaison with drivers to address compliance questions and concerns

•Oversee regional compliance and training with ELD (electronic log devices)

•Educate drivers and managers on state and federal regulations for commercial vehicles traveling interstate

•Interface with Fleet Service Delivery Manager to drive compliance performance improvements with third parties

Required Experience:

•Knowledge of FMCSA compliance requirements.

•Knowledge of the agricultural business considered a plus.

•5 years operational experience in a related industry

•5 years driver/carrier experience.

•Ability to effectively work with a wide variety of stakeholders to accomplish compliance goals and objectives

•Project management experience, especially the ability to manage multiple projects with different priorities.

•Applicant must be able to travel within the US

•Excellent communication skills (written & verbal, including formal presentations)

•Strong planning and organizational skills focused on setting expectations and meeting deadlines

•Ability to work with a diverse customer base - scientists, production, sales, senior managers, HSE professionals.

•Ability to build and deploy scalable programs and solutions across diverse functions and culturally-diverse geographic regions within Canada.

•Ability to drive "improvement change" through strong partnership and influencing skills to a growing business and various functions.

Additional information

•Travel expected to equal or exceed 20%
