Job Number: 19202338 Computer Task Group is seeking a Payroll Specialist/Accounting Associate for their client in Fremont, California for a four month contract.

Responsible for preparing and ensuring accurate and timely bi-weekly payroll processing, including commission, bonuses, spot awards, LOA disability pay, etc. for a fast paced business unit with 550 employees (including 200 hourly and 15 remote field employees ). Provide analytical support and guidance to Shared Service Center general accountant preparing payroll journal entries. PTO tracking and bonus accrual calculation. Accounting responsibilities include daily sales tax audit review and fix, daily invoice reconciliation, assist with various A/R and A/P documents and issue resolution follow-up, SOX audit support (internal and external), filing, and other ad hoc requests or projects as needed.

Position Summary:

This individual is responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll, paying commissions, overtime, bonuses and other compensation as necessary. Responsibilities include obtaining proper approval, communicating information to corporate Payroll, tracking employee PTO balances, and calculating Bonus accrual. Works closely with Shared Service Center to provide data and accounting support for payroll related journal entries. Review compensation related general ledger activity. Work closely with local and corporate HR to ensure proper transactions for new hires, terminations, internal transfers, and LOA’s. Interact with all levels of employees/managers/administrators. Train and support managers on online eTime timecard approval and train new employees how to use the time clock. Overall split of responsibilities is 70% payroll and 30% accounting tasks.

Required Qualifications:

•5 years of experience in Payroll processing and/or time reporting administration

•Knowledge of wage and hour laws associated with time reporting

•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

•Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of data

•Ability to be detail oriented and accurate while working in a tight deadline-driven environment.

•Extremely reliable person who demonstratives effective communication skills with all levels of employees.

•Proficiency in systems/PC applications (Microsoft Office Suite/365 – Outlook, Excel, and Word).

•Excellent customer service skills and strong analytical ability.

Desired Qualifications:

•Experience with ADP’s eTime and Workday is preferred.

•Associate or Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

•Works with a strong sense of urgency

•Experience in a high-volume and fast paced environment
