Job Title:Optical Technician-Assembly and Test

Duration: ongoing

Location:Fairport, NY

*Please Note: Hrs. are 1st shift 6-2:30pm Overtime as needed. Potentially Saturday or Sunday's might be needed

Operations Associate Assembly and Test

We seek highly motivated, skilled & innovative individuals with passion and a desire to learn.

Responsibilities and skills required vary from cleaning optics, testing of optical components to assembling and testing optical systems.

Individuals must be team oriented and able to work collaboratively with others.

Operations Associate Assembly & Test Responsibilities are:

• Manufacturing tasks in compliance with work instructions and be able to read blue prints

• Cleaning, packaging, and/or handling of optical components

• Fabrication of assembly of optical components

• Inspecting / Testing optics and optical systems

• Performing calculations, quality tests, inspection

Job Requirements:

• Hand/eye coordination / manual dexterity / attention to detail and hand tools experience. Use of torque wrenches, calipers and other small hand devices.

• PC skills and ability to operate electronic equipment

• An AS degree or equivalent experience in optics or other technical field is preferred

Working Conditions:

  • Temperature controlled environments.

  • Safety glasses and safety shoes required.

*Able to lift up to 15 pounds

  • Willing to work overtime
