CTG's premier client has a contract assignment for a Logistics Technician I .

Type: Contract

Job Title: Logistics Technician I

Location: Fairport, NY

Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Fairport, NY

Pay Rate: Based on experience

Education: High School Diploma or GED required

Schedule: Monday - Friday, Full-Time, B Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM EST

Training: Completed on A Shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM) for the first 4-6 weeks

Possibility of extension based on demand.

Candidates must be compliant with ITAR requirements. Visa sponsorship is not supported for this position.

Working Conditions:

Good working conditions with frequent lifting/moving of materials up to 5 pounds. Occasionally lifting/moving up to 15 pounds; rarely over 25 pounds. Minimal exposure to disagreeable elements in a cleanroom environment. Personal protective equipment required, including safety shoes, safety glasses, and cleanroom garments (frock, gloves, facemask, etc.).

Description

The Logistics Technician I is responsible for assisting in the completion of production administrative work, building sanitation, and logistics tasks. This role applies training and skills to support production efforts and includes training others in operations, techniques, and skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform operations in compliance with work instructions.

  • Complete production logistics by moving and transacting information through production systems.

  • Conduct building sanitation tasks and maintain a clean work environment.

  • Prepare materials for operations and/or logistical tasks.

  • Interface with plant systems (e.g., document control, manufacturing execution system).

  • Communicate effectively and update/maintain records as needed.

  • Train others in responsibilities.

  • Perform any other Production Support I responsibilities as required.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Work Experience:

  • 1-2+ years of work experience.

  • No manufacturing experience required; applicable experience in a transferable field (e.g., shipping & warehouse) is desired.

  • Experience with SAP is a plus, but not required.
