We are hiring a Solution Designer for our client in Durham, NC. The Solution Designer will lead the evaluation and selection of a patching tool that gets our client closer to a “unified” patch management process. This is a full-time contract position.
Capture and understand the requirements for patching both end user devices (e.g. laptops) and data center devices (e.g. servers) for both Windows & Linux environments
Understand the complexities of deploying patches inside a large international company
Integrate the challenges of global time differences, of network bandwidth limitations, of out of date equipment, of outdated and/or multiple version-software, of restricted patching and of blackout periods
Draft workflows to better understand which tool is optimal in the environment.
Create needed documentation.
Knowledge of security assessment methodology and risk management processes is required.
