CTG is currently assisting one of its premiere clients in staffing a Project / Program Manager in Durham, NC. This is a 6 month contract with the possibility of conversion to perm. The Project / Program Manager will be responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Managing all of the Program Resources

  • Strong vendor and budget management abilities

  • Working within the PMO

  • Create Project Dashboards, track the program and all of the projects/their status, gaps, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with and leads stakeholders to drive detailed content to achieve best results for the projects and initiatives.

  • Collaborates with team members to ensure clear roles, responsibilities, and expectations. Manages performance and escalates issues as needed.

  • Establish project deliverables: record detailed customer requirements, constraints, and assumptions with stakeholders in order to establish the project deliverables, using requirements gathering techniques.

  • Execute project plan. Execute the tasks as defined in the project plan in order to achieve the project goals.

  • Monitor and control project work

  • Closing the project. Obtain final acceptance of the project deliverables by working with the sponsor and/or customer, in order to confirm that project scope and deliverables were met.

  • Follow IT governance processes and procedures for status reporting, gate reviews, escalations, change orders, etc.

Minimum requirements:

  • 7-10yrs of experience in Project / Program / Portfolio Management, PMO, Technical Leadership

  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously

  • BA or BS Degree

  • PMP or CAPM required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, with minimal supervision
