CTG's premier client has a contract assignment for a Financial Analyst.
Type: Contract
Job Title: Financial Analyst
Location: Durham, NC
Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Durham, NC
Pay Rate: Based on experience
Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

Description of Work:
• Perform duties for month-end financial statement close including journal entries and variance analysis
• Prepare, review, and maintain monthly Blackline account reconciliations and tasks
• Support a solid internal controls environment and participate in both internal and external audits
• Perform inventory reconciliations and inventory and fixed asset cycle counts / audits
• Assist in maintaining and updating plant standard costs
• Collect and analyze data on operational metrics and performance and work with other functions to drive cost out ideas
• Manage project costing and asset management transactions within the plant
• Assist with annual plant budget process and monthly forecasts
• Support plant management to enhance their Financial Acumen and understanding of plant spending
• Ad hoc financial analysis in support of plant operations
• Present financial data both internally and externally as required
• Prepare cost models for new business
• Other functions and projects as assigned in support of plant and company operations
Travel Requirements:
• Minimal; Less than 10%

• Cost modeling
• Inventory control and management
• Manufacturing / Six Sigma background
• Experience with Sarbanes Oxley
• CMA certification preferred
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3 – 5 years of progressive industry experience
System skills:
• Integrated ERP system experience (PeopleSoft or SAP a plus)
• Blackline Account Reconciliation Tool
Soft Skills:
• Ambitious and aspires to grow professionally
• Able to work and communicate with individuals at all levels to accomplish objectives
• Able to lead accounting / finance-based projects
• Able to manage through ambiguity and perform in a fast-paced environment
