CTGs premier client has a contract assignment for aTechnical Assistant – Engineering.

Job Title:Technical Assistant - EngineeringLocation:Corning, NY work will be performed onsiteWorking Hours: Day ShiftPay Rate:up to$21.50/hr. Dependent on experienceEducation/Experience:Associates degree required

A successful candidate in this position will possess strong soft skills such as

  • Associates Degree required

  • Minimum 3 years related experience in engineering support role

  • MS Office Applications including SharePoint

  • CAD or SolidWorks & experience with EPDM document management is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible as the engineering SharePoint site administrator, setting up user groups, granting permissions, setting up new sites as needed, and maintaining SOP documents.

  • Aid in capacity & demand management activities; including project time allocation, generating & communicating weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, and collection & composition of forecasts for upcoming project work.

  • Responsible for engineering equipment configuration management and document numbering integrity for platform configurations.

  • We will work on equipment installation scope of work preparations, schedule requirements, and scope preparation meetings.

  • Creating PowerPoint presentations

  • You will collaborate with people from local and international sites to create master scope documents and maintain the engineering scope library

  • Engineering Change Request system support, create SharePoint sites for new change requests, initiate approval processes, assist Engineers with updates to existing sites, technology approval process support

  • Assist with generating meeting agendas

  • We will collaborate with project leaders to ensure everyone is ready for the review meetings

  • Interact with domestic and international operation sites and our Science and Technology Division

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in office management or similar (or equivalent work experience)

  • Associate degree in mechanical/manufacturing technology or another technical field (not mandatory)

  • Minimum 3 years related experience in engineering support role

  • Microsoft Office software proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint document management software

  • We need someone who is organized and can effectively lead multiple tasks with minimal supervision

  • Ability to meet tight deadlines, detail oriented, and producing error-free work

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience with EPDM for document management is preferred

  • Familiarity with CAD drawings and SolidWorks software is preferred
