CTG's premier client has a contract assignment for a Customer Service Coordinator II .

Type: Contract

Job Title: Customer Service Coordinator II

Location: Corning, NY

candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Corning, NY

Work Hours: 8am – 5pm onsite position (occasional overtime may be required)

Pay: Up to $20/hr

Education: HS diploma or GED. Two-year degree preferred.

Description

Supports the Customer Service team. Provides order management support to business customers (order entry, order maintenance, logistics, inventory review, price updates, etc.) and support metrics. Delivers professional, first line interface for customer correspondence including providing conflict resolution. Maintains records of customer profiles and prepares status reports. Position acts as a liaison between customer and business. Identify and act on supply issues to minimize impact to the customer. Thoroughly and accurately follows detailed standard procedures and performs duties within prescribed time frames.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Strong attention to detail, experienced at building relationships and working across many different areas.

  • Able to effectively manage multiple activities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Gathers information independently using established and well-defined procedures to problem solve, make decisions, and prioritize.

  • Ability to negotiate and resolve issues across multiple functions.

  • Demonstrates strong excel skills.

  • Consistently completes tasks with a high level of accuracy and professionalism and has very strong communications skills (both written and verbal).

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • PeopleSoft 8.0 supply chain (order entry, billing, shipping) or equivalent system

  • Experience working with customers and freight forwarders.

  • Positive attitude, team player.

  • Enjoys being challenged and strives to improve processes.

Desired/Required Soft Skills:

  • Team player, clear and concise communications skills, patience, ability to remain calm in stressful situations, attentiveness and has a positive attitude, is dependable and punctual.

  • Preference will be given to candidates with 1+ year customer service experience and outstanding Microsoft Excel skills.
