CTG is partnering with our direct client an Insurance Administration Services Firm to hire the following resource:

Positon title: Pharmacy Techs to take inbound calls, Outbound Calls

Contract: 3 mos. Contract to hire

Rate of pay: 20/hr.

Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Additional information: There is required overtime and no PTO allowed during the 4th quarter. The overtime is also uncapped, so there is some serious earning potential for people that want to put in a ton of hours during that time.

They are looking for dynamic personalities, business casual environment, need to have a solid understanding of prescription drugs. Someone that worked in a pharmacy but didn't like the environment or hours would be an ideal candidate.


Interviewing applicants for insurance products which may include Medicare Supplement, Convalescent Care, and Life insurance in a professional, patient, honest, confidential, and efficient manner.

Prescription Drug AND Conditions Treated Required (Pharmacy Techs Preferred) - Customer Service Experience a Plus - Detail Oriented - Fast Pace Environment - Insurance Experience - Medical Terminology Needed

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned as necessary):

  1. Responsible for conducting phone interviews on both outbound and inbound telephone calls.

  2. Must be detail oriented and possess good verbal/written/typed communication skills.

  3. Must be able to work in an environment where procedures change frequently.

  4. Must have a medical background and understand medical conditions and prescription drug information.

  5. Verify all information from the application over the phone with an applicant.

  6. Follow a computer generated telephone script, which matches the questions on the application. Information obtained during the phone interview process is typed on the phone script form and is used in the UW process. When appropriate, pull supplemental questionnaires for medical conditions and certain medication to obtain detailed information about the condition/medication in question.

  7. Carefully listen to the applicant's responses to ensure the accuracy of the information gathered. Concentration is essential. The Underwriter's decision to approve or decline an application is based on information gathered in the PHI.

  8. Entering completed interviews in computer.

  9. Delivering the file to the appropriate department.
