We are seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst for a prestigious client in the Chapel Hill, NC area! This position offers a competitive salary, benefit options including health care, medical, and vision coverage, paid vacation, and 401k options!

As the Financial Reporting Analyst, you will provide financial analysis, financial modeling and forecasting, reporting and budgeting, which includes budgeting and reporting for $338M of a variety of fund types including state appropriations, F&A or overhead receipts, institutional trust funds, grants, discretionary funds, foundations, endowments, cost-recovery, and recharge operations.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Banking, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related discipline; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

  • Must have at least 12 hours (4 classes) in accounting

  • 1-2 years of experience in financial analysis preferred

  • Experience with cash flow and other financial models

  • Working knowledge of fundamental financial principles and practices

  • Advanced skills with Excel are required - Excel skills assessment is required.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Access, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to work independently with sound direction and goals

  • Ability to educate constituents, deliver formal presentations, summarize complex data, and communicate results with outstanding written and verbal correspondence.

  • Experience working with Grants is a plus

  • PeopleSoft experience is a plus
