Description:

CTG is seeking an Epic Revenue Cycle Professional Trainer for a long term consulting opportunity.

Responsibilities:

CTG Health Solutions is in need of an Epic Rev Cycle Professional Trainer to assist in the implementation of Epic for our client in the Northeastern United States. The opportunity is approximately 15 months on-site position with potential to be remote briefly throughout the project.

CTG is looking for an outstanding consultant with Epic implementation experience. The consultant will be responsible for build, Implementation and support of the Epic application.

Qualified candidate will need to show a willingness to be a team player and apply application implementation best practices.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Design training programs through the use of instructional design documents

Effectively utilize various forms of visual aids and training approaches

Develop training materials and coordinate training schedule based on in-depth knowledge of each software application, including proficiency in Epic products.

Oversee the development and updating of training curriculum and end-user classroom instruction to validate end users are being presented the essential materials to learn core application functions for the safe, efficient, and effective use of Epic and the clinical workflows that Epic supports.

Attain a detailed understanding of workflows and system configurations through participation in validation sessions with application coordinators, through assisting in system build and through interactions with end-users.

Qualified candidates should have:

  • 5 years of applicable experience in training, information technology or healthcare operations or 1 to 2 years EHR experience.

  • Training: Successfully complete all required courses; Three weeks of EPIC application certification classes. Training, Environments and Documentation courses.

  • Special Skills: Strong people skills and experienced working across organizations and multiple audiences.

  • Change leadership experience, public speaking and ability to inspire others.

  • Competent in use of Epic software (focus on clinical apps).

  • Resource management, end user support and project management skills required.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Sharepoint.

The main responsibility of the Training Manager is to provide assorted types of talent development programs targeted towards various levels within the organization. To achieve this, the Training Manager must be able to:

  • Design training programs through the use of instructional design documents

  • Effectively utilize various forms of visual aids and training approaches

  • Working with the client’s training department, coordinate and manage Epic organizational training needs

  • Recruit Participants

  • Create Annual Training Schedule

  • Organize Program Kickoff and Graduation

  • Facilitate key training courses (i.e. Communication Skills and Conflict Management)

  • Support all presenters – Coordinate training material

  • Monitor and track participants’ attendance and progress

  • Update Program as necessary

  • Develop and facilitate the Customer Service courses for staff and nurses

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the Leadership Mentoring Program

  • Recruit Participants

  • Organize Program Kickoff and Final Executive Summary Meeting

  • Monitor and track participants’ progress

  • Update Program as necessary (i.e. Discussion Board)

  • Act as Participant Advisor to the Advanced Leadership Development Program

  • Assist departments in preparing the Gallup Action Plans

  • Review on-line training content for Annual In-Services

  • Conduct live streaming courses as requested via web conferencing

  • Perform organization-wide learning needs assessments

  • Participate in Patient Visitation Leadership Rounds

  • Maintain the department budget

  • Manage Learning Center Room Reservations

  • Conduct private coaching sessions

  • Maintain and update the Regional Site Manual bi-annually

  • Conduct training at the Regional Site Locations

  • Advise on training requirements for organizational projects (i.e. EPIC and Life Wings)

  • Handle special training requests

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years of applicable experience in training, information technology or healthcare operations or 1 to 2 years EHR experience.

  • Extensive knowledge of instructional design or curriculum development; Knowledge of educational technology, eLearning programs, adult learning principles and learner-centered activities is required.

  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred.

  • Healthcare experience required – focus on clinical apps

  • Five years previous experience training adult learners in a corporate or healthcare/academic environment. Seven years preferred.

  • Master’s degree in a related field required, major in HR Education, Organizational Development and Training preferred

  • Strong customer service orientation

  • The ability to serve as a role model and influence others

  • Working Knowledge of adult learning styles and the ability to conduct needs assessments

  • Excellent training skills to include the creation, design and delivery of courses

  • Excellent interpersonal , organizational and communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook is also required. Familiarity with e-survey tools (i.e. Survey Monkey) and Learning Management Systems/adjunct learning modules will be helpful.

  • Ability to utilize a variety of visual aids and training approaches-tailored to all levels of participants, hospital-wide.
