Job Title: Clinical Lab Operator

Location: Canoga Park, CA

Duration: 12 months, W2 Contract

Minimum Requirements (MUST have to be considered)

  • Minimum of 2 years’ current experience working in a GMP Manufacturing or Central Operations environment

  • Ability to follow manufacturing procedures (SOPs, PSWIs) and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), specifically around Good Documentation Practices (GDP) requirements

  • Willingness to participate or lead PPI Business System Kaizen/Improvement Events

  • Mindset for continuous improvement

  • Work as a cooperative member within diverse teams

  • Maintain confidentiality of all business and scientific information and data

  • Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with manager and technicians

  • Must be available to work on weekends and nights if needed

  • Working knowledge of computers and basic business software

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for following safe laboratory procedures and policies

  • Controlled manufacturing/laboratory environment; must understand and comply with GMP Manufacturing requirements

  • Adhere to written procedures and documents all completed tasks promptly and accurately

  • Complete and review production documents in real time

  • Clean, organize, and disinfect laboratory areas and glassware as required

  • Maintain areas in high state of inspection preparedness and safety compliance

  • Work effectively and efficiently in a team-oriented environment to keep GMP Manufacturing operations running smoothly

  • Order, receive, and stock reagents, chemicals, and lab supplies to the appropriate departments, while observing appropriate inventory levels

  • May be required to train individual workers in proper procedures and work instructions

  • Monitor and maintain equipment

  • Formulate and maintain required buffers and reagents

  • Utilize laboratory equipment such as scales, glassware, and pH meters to perform measurements

  • Monitor temperatures and maintain complete and accurate records of equipment logs

  • Operate and maintain steam autoclaves, keep records of loads completed, items in loads

  • Other tasks as assigned

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk to other areas in which designated PPE will be required

  • Able to lift 35 to 50 pounds

  • Position will require sitting, standing and/or walking for prolonged periods of time in a laboratory setting

Education

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) required - Bachelors’ degree highly desired

Desired Skills (nice to have)

  • Lean or Lean Six Sigma exposure
