Job Title: Government Pricing/Operations Analyst

Work Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Pay Rate: $40-50/hour based on experience

Day to Day Responsibilities: The Analyst, Government Pricing Operations, will be responsible for analyzing, documenting, and supporting the submission of mandated product and pricing data for federal and state government pricing programs.

  • Ensure that pricing submissions are accurately calculated, analyzed, validated and support the submission of required government pricing metrics for monthly, quarterly, and annual pricing submissions are appropriate reported to various federal and state government agencies.

  • Collaborate with functions to resolve all source system data issues identified in the data reconciliation and validation process and elsewhere prior to calculations being processed.

  • Work with Finance and Commercial functions to pull rebate and chargeback data to support government pricing calculations.

  • Review data to ensure that it is correctly classified for inclusion or exclusion to the government pricing calculations.

  • Support the creation of monthly and quarterly review packages for pricing review committees, including back up materials.

  • Create analytics, graphs, and slides that show trends in the government pricing data or answer business questions by using the government pricing data.

  • Ensure obligations under the current FSS contract, including annual negotiation of FSS prices (triggered by annual re-calculation of FCPs) and reporting of same. Ensures compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs) and the Veterans Health Care Act of 1992, as it relates to the FSS.

  • Support the implementation of PHS 340B prices and ensures that systems/processes are in place to prevent 340B prices from being extended to non-eligible entities. Ensures that PHS prices are calculated correctly, quarterly and that they are loaded into the contract/chargeback system accurately and in a timely fashion.

  • Analyze and implement the processing of quarterly invoices for Medicaid, Tricare, Medicare Coverage Gap and Industrial Funding Fee.

  • Maintain appropriate written and electronic documentation consistent with approved policy and various compliance requirements including documentation consistent with state and federal requirements.

  • Implement new policies or calculation methodology changes.

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of policies or calculations methodologies to allow for continuous business process improvement and ensure departmental compliance.

  • Conduct and provide meaningful analysis to the organization on issues relative to government pricing to allow informed business decisions to be made.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Pre-Law or other degrees appropriate to this area of responsibility

  • MBA/CPA a plus

  • 3-5 Years’ experience in Accounting, Finance, or Government Pricing (preferred).

  • Experience with Model N/Revitas suite of applications or similar applications preferred.

  • Auditing experience is a plus.

  • Advance financial and analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy are necessary to ensure compliance with timelines, internal policies, laws and regulations.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong presentation skills, knowledge of business protocol, time management and organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills

  • Collaborative approach and ability to work across functions.

  • Ability to coordinate multiple assignments simultaneously.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Attention to detail and deadlines, and a history of adherence to policies and procedures are critical
