CTG is seeking a Cerner Orders Analyst for a contract-to-hire position in Southern California. Local candidates preferred, travel candidates will be considered if they are willing to relocate upon permanent hire.

The Applications Analyst will work with external vendors, system owners, community partners, contractors and leadership to design, develop, implement and make operational information systems. This incumbent will identify and document information technology design specifications based on analysis/assessment of user needs and generate need-gap analyses. Incumbent will use sound knowledge to generate and develop system scope and objective, analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems and devise or modify procedures to solve problems using data processing.

Position Accountabilities:

  • Analyze application, workflow, and user requirements to collaboratively develop solutions

  • Demonstrate advance knowledge of system design, specification and testing respective applications

  • Participate in system design, contributing technical insights and ideas. Help formulate project scope and objectives

  • Responsible for completion of a phase or component of a project with minimal assistance

  • Responsible for completion of design collection worksheets, documentation of workflows, and testing scripts

  • Work directly with users in defining new enhancements and successfully troubleshoots application problems independently

  • May be responsible to instruct, direct and review the work of staff

  • Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to communicate and translate technical flow to end users

  • Build productive networks with internal and external customers and the vendor community

  • Demonstrates proficiency and adherence to Change Control procedures and policies

  • Ability to fulfil on-call requirements

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and experience

  • 3 or more years of related experience including system design, documentation, maintenance, upgrades and troubleshooting in Healthcare IT

  • Cerner Orders and PowerPlans experience required
