Project Duration: Consulting Position, 6 Month

Project Location: Buffalo, NY

Job Title: Payroll Supervisor

Description:

Works with payroll staff and distributes tasks as work flow changes

Gains full knowledge of all payroll processes and backs up both API and Lawson processing

Keeps the Payroll Manager informed on all issues and staffing shortfalls

Creates and distributes special reports to staff and other departments

Assists with system testing and upgrades

Understands all periodic, quarterly and year-to-date tax filing processes and ensures accuracy; creates and/or reviews W-2s and 1042s

Documents and maintains payroll procedures

Works on special projects as needed.

Required Qualifications:

Associate’s degree and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time payroll experience, including one (1) year experience in a supervisory capacity; or a High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of six (6) years of full-time payroll experience, including one (1) year experience in a supervisory capacity.
