Are you a recent graduate looking for a new role where you have the ability to learn and grow in a close-knit IT department?

We are looking for a Help Desk Technician to support internal employees and systems in a full time role with CTG. The ideal candidate will be a “people person” with a friendly, outgoing personality – someone who enjoys working with team members and various employees. This team works hours between 7 am – 7 pm, so flexibility in scheduling is a must!

Day to Day Responsibilities:

•This role is 90% phone support and 10% deskside support

•Provide Level 1 support and troubleshooting on all approved hardware, software, networks and systems

•Work with Level 2 support team to handle ticket escalation as needed

•Communicate and coordinate problem solving efforts with users, other IS support staff, and vendor technicians

•Ensure that all problems/solutions are properly documented using standard problem tracking tools

•User account administration - creation and termination of end user accounts

•Track/document all user issues in the JitBit ticketing system

Required Skills & Qualifications:

•Associates Degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field is required

•Availability for shift work between 7 AM and 7 PM Monday – Friday based on the need. Must be flexible to allow for shift changes for vacation/holiday/sick day coverage.

•Ability to work well with people who may be frustrated in the heat of the moment

•Strong decision making skills – understand when to thoroughly research/correct the issue, and when escalate to management.

•Competent troubleshooting and problem solving skills

•Knowledge of: Microsoft OS (Win7 Pro - Win10 Pro), Microsoft Office (Office 07-16)

•Familiarity with PC Hardware (Lenovo/Dell)

•Familiarity with Cable modem/internet connectivity support/VPN/Remote connectivity troubleshooting

•Working knowledge with Microsoft Office/Microsoft Outlook/Internet Explorer

•Familiarity with using Active Directory for Account Administration, Domain access rights, Group Policies is a plus
