CTG, Inc., a Buffalo based, international IT staffing and consulting company, is currently seeking an in-house Financial Reporting & Treasury Manager.

Job Summary: Directly manage the external financial reporting process, including preparation of key financial statements, footnotes and schedules, coordinate the implementation of new financial accounting standards, and aid in completion of the external audit and interaction with the external auditors. Works closely with executives, senior management and finance and accounting teams.

  • Coordinate the preparation of the information required for the Company’s external financial reporting, and prepare and file all required financial (non-legal) documents with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

  • Prepare internal, external, and regulatory reports related to financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis as required

  • Facilitate the preparation of internal financial reporting

  • Research and coordinate the Company’s implementation of all new financial accounting standards the Company is required to adopt

  • Ensure reports comply with applicable regulatory agency requirements and consolidate financial disclosure notes for inclusion in external reports as necessary

  • Aid in managing the day to day relationship with the external auditors, and the completion of the external audit

  • Serve as a key resource toward the organization's goal of achieving full Sarbanes-Oxley compliance

  • Manage the responsibilities and workflow of the Treasury Administrator

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned

Job Duties:

External Audit and Financial Reporting

  • Aid in coordinating the annual external audit and quarterly reviews with the finance team and the external auditors, including planning the audit, preparing and providing information to the auditors, addressing concerns, and audit wrap-up

  • Supervise the preparation or prepare the quarterly and annual external financial statements and accompanying footnotes

  • Prepare and coordinate the review and filing of the Annual Report on Form 10-K and the Quarterly Reports on Form 10-Q with the SEC

  • Review other filings with the SEC as prepared by the legal dept. (Form 8-K’s, etc.)

  • Review financial reports for completeness and accuracy

  • Coordinate the proxy statement preparation with the legal department, including providing all financial information in the proxy to the legal team

  • Coordinate the printing of the proxy, proxy solicitation (as needed), and the tally of the voting at the annual Meeting of Shareholders

  • Draft the financial statements in all financial press releases and review the quarterly press release

  • Provide the financial information for the annual report, and review as needed

  • Research new accounting pronouncements or other accounting-related issues and implement as necessary

  • Aid in the preparation of the quarterly earnings per share calculations

  • Prepare numerous equity-based compensation schedules used in financial accounting and reporting

  • Manage the financial internal control process to ensure compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley act

  • Evaluate internal controls, information systems, and operating practices in accordance with established corporate standards for efficiency, accuracy, and compliance


  • Manage cash flow throughout the company, including daily banking activities, which includes investing and borrowing as needed

  • Manage the treasury administrator

  • Manage the banking relationships with the Company’s key partners


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting

  • CPA license preferred

  • Minimum of five years’ preparing financial statements

  • Excellent organization skills required

  • Problem solving skills are required

  • Competence in the application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and SEC regulations, and the ability to perform research and prepare financial statements

  • Excellent communication skills, including both written and verbal skills
