CTG is currently seeking a UI/UX Developer for a key financial industry client in Brooklyn, Ohio. We are looking for an innovative front-end web developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming.
Location: Brooklyn, Ohio
Duration: 6 month extendable, W2 contract
Overall responsibilities will include analysis of project business needs, identifying problems that can be solved through user interactions, creation of UI/UX design wireframes, prototypes, and specifications to the actual front end code that will produce optimal UI/UX solutions for corporate banking applications. You will work with a collaborative team of business owners, business analysts, project managers, front and backend developers to drive UI/UX development for a wide range of corporate web development projects taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works
Identify and communicate UI/UX design problems and solutions with verbal, graphic, and technical skills across collaborative teams
Develop new user-facing features and enhance existing features using industry best practices within given application contexts
Reuse existing libraries and design patterns when applicable and build reusable code and libraries for future use
Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and participate in continually evaluating the success of UI/UX designs
Optimize application interface for maximum speed, scalability, and accessibility
Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to promote the end user experience
Show a willingness to learn and participate in new technologies
High School Diploma minimum; College degree or Technical Certification preferred
4 years of experience in UX/UI Web Design, Front End Development, Basic Human Computer Interaction as well as a proficient understanding of web building blocks and their separation of concerns
Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3, and open-source frameworks like Bootstrap
Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, AJAX, and RESTful JSON data
Basic knowledge of image authoring or diagramming tools for both design communications and front end art
Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
Good understanding of when to use and when to not use responsive design as well as mobile design principles
Excellent understanding of browser web development tools for development inspection, performance and debugging
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as GIT and SVN
Good understanding of accessibility principles and ARIA concepts
Ability to describe and demonstrate solutions to UX problems that you have designed and developed
Compensation target to $53.57 per hour W-2 (Sorry no Corp to Corp or third party agencies)
