Computer Task Group (CTG) is seeking a Sr. Business Analyst for a financial industry client in Brooklyn, OH. This is a W2 contract position.

Location: Brooklyn, OH

Tax Terms: W-2 (No C2C or 1099)

Duration: end of the year, 12/2019

Job Responsibilities / Duties:

Work within the team to establish best practices, and standards. Work closely with the line of business, vendors and other partners to elicit business and technical project needs, to deliver appropriate business solutions that effectively meet project's quality measures and success criteria. Prepare written business and system requirements by documenting system behavior, and technical expectations. Candidate may report into a matrix environment, and will conform to the established Software Development lifecycle and process deliverables. Work on the most critical business initiatives.

  • Lead the development of business and functional requirements for projects and business strategies within the domain. Prioritize and size requirements into deployment/release plan -- in collaboration with Domain Technology Manager. Follow established standards and best practices for business requirements documentation, project planning test planning, communication methodologies and status tracking and reporting.

  • Works closely with business stakeholders to observe, elicit and define business requirements to support changes to processes, procedures or uses of software systems. Plans, coordinates, and conducts work sessions to communicate and manage solution requirements and needs with stakeholders in the business, technology and operations.

  • Develop and coordinate controls and processes to support the business analysis within the domain.

  • Understands and represents technologies that enable business processes. Knowledge of business units products/processes and the current technology. Works to solve the most complex business problems with multiple constraints with technology solutions that meet client needs in any/all aspects of the domain.

  • Maintain a business architecture view (current in production and future planned) across all capabilities/assets of the domain.

  • Perform assignments at all analytical levels including internal and external use interfaces, core processing system functions and data table structures, external application and interface requirements, internal application architecture and application integration requirements, involving appropriate support partners as necessary.

  • Accountable for building and executing on the complete dates for sign-offs for all functional and non-functional requirements and use-case specifications.

  • Negotiate actively with all parties to ensure the scope is managed within the forecasted budget and expected technical design and use-case specifications.

  • Business Knowledge:

  • Subject matter expert in banking products, or ability to become familiar quickly

  • Functions as a trusted advisor to corporate banking line of business, focusing on business results (not technical results)

  • Intermediate to advanced understanding of systems used

  • Testing (when Enterprise Testing Services is not involved) including test script development, test execution, test management and test results reporting using HP ALM or similar application

  • Collaboration with Enterprise Testing Services

  • Direct in-depth application knowledge transfers to Test Leads

  • Vendor Management including RFP Analysis and SOW:

  • Ability to gather and analyze RFP documents

  • Draw conclusions from RFP data

  • Facilitate Vendor Meetings

  • Ability to make recommendations

  • Review SOWs, pulls out requirements

  • Ability to multi-task across multiple projects and non-project activities

  • Documentation including System, Technical and Knowledge Articles - Creates with Tech Lead:

  • User manuals

  • Training and transition documentation

  • Current/Future state process flows

  • Review System Architecture Document

  • Create queries to validate data in database

  • Independently identifies technology articles

  • Works with LOB to define user-related articles

  • Communicates changes to Service Coordination team

  • Communication Skills including Verbal / Non-Verbal, Written, Facilitation Skills and Meetings:

  • Ability to address and follow through to completion any situation that arises

  • Lead any project related meetings

  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all Project Life Cycle and requirements management requirements

  • Provides input to, reviews and revises, as needed, Business Cases and Project Charters

  • Demonstrates a working to advanced level of general desktop applications such as Excel / Word / PowerPoint

Mandatory Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with business analysis within an IT environment

  • Minimum 3 years recent experience working with banking technologies

  • Demonstrated practical knowledge of business and technology in creating integrated solutions

  • Demonstrated and successful execution of essential job functions within a specific project

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge/experience in the financial services industry
