Job Title: Sr. Business Analyst
Work Hours:Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00
Pay Rate: Based on experience
The position understands the Enterprise Commercial Payments business. Captures and translates business requirements into technical requirements and conveys to appropriate development teams. Builds strong business and technology relationships in order to efficiently translate business needs into technical recommendations and specifications. Promotes technology best practices within the business. Understands and presents how technologies can enable business processes. Understands security, risk management, and IT process principles. Owns and leads the interpretation of business requirements into designs, testing plans and implementation strategies for technical systems
Lead the development of business and functional requirements for projects and business strategies within the domain.
Prioritize and size requirements into deployment/release plan -- in collaboration with Domain Technology Manager.
Follow established standards and best practices for business requirements documentation, project planning test planning, communication methodologies and status tracking and reporting
Works closely with business stakeholders to observe, elicit and define business requirements to support changes to processes, procedures or uses of software systems.
Plans, coordinates, and conducts work sessions to communicate and manage solution requirements and needs with stakeholders in the business, technology and operations.
Develop and coordinate controls and processes to support the business analysis within the domain.
Understands and represents technologies that enable business processes.
Knowledge of business units products/processes and the current technology.
Works to solve the most complex business problems with multiple constraints with technology solutions that meet client needs in any/all aspects of the domain.
Accountable for building and executing on the complete dates for sign-offs for all functional and non-functional requirements and use-case specifications.
Negotiate actively with all parties to ensure the scope is managed within the forecasted budget and expected technical design and use-case specifications.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
5+ years of business analysis experience within an IT environment
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to negotiate across competing priorities and individuals to reach consensus on requirement and design items
Minimum of 4+ years of application requirements gathering and design, including process mapping and gap analysis
Experience in flow diagram techniques.
Understanding of the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Project Management
Experience with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
Banking experience, commercial payment domain knowledge a plus
Project Management experience, PMP certification a plus
