Data Analyst

CTG Computer Task Group (CTG) is seeking a Data Analyst for a financial industry client in Brooklyn, OH. This is a 6 month, W2 contract position.

Location: Brooklyn, OH

Duration: 6 months, W2 contract

Pay Rate: Up to $43.27/hr

Job Description:

The Data Analyst will work with the Client Insights & Marketing Technology team to analyze current-state and help implement new future-state data assets for the client technology team. They will assist in the design of both operational and analytical data platforms and environments. They will assist in the review and approval of the data architecture for all data delivery projects.

Essential Job Functions

• Assist in supporting the enterprise conceptual and logical data models for analytics, operational and data mart structures using an industry standard model, where possible.

• Be a liaison between project teams, Data Architecture and Data Management, Data Stewardship, lines of business and the delivery/development group to align business needs with enterprise data management strategy and solutions.

• Possess solid understanding of technologies pertinent to enterprise data management including; logical and physical data models, data mapping documents for ETL and data profiling to provide the proper context regarding enterprise data assets to address business and functional requirements.

• Ability to leverage metadata to provide insight into source system data.

• Ability to quickly understand operational and other source systems and apply that knowledge to prepare the detailed mapping of source to target documents for ETL consumption.

• Be familiar with IBM Banking Data Warehouse (BDW) model or other standard industry model.

Mandatory

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science preferred, or equivalent work experience

• Experience working with business leaders, application system business users and subject matter experts and translating the findings into data mapping documents

• Experience with a Financial industry model, preferable IBM Banking Data Warehouse (BDW) model

• Data warehousing experience

• Experience with Data Modeling (understanding entity relationship diagrams, source-target and other mapping documentation, metadata and taxonomies, dimensional structures)

• 2-3 years of SQL experience in Teradata, SQL Server, Oracle or other database platform

• Experience in and support of system integration testing

• Exposure to Star Schema and any reporting tool

• Experience with Data Modeling (understanding entity relationship diagrams, source-target and other mapping documentation, metadata and taxonomies, dimensional structures

• Experience with a financial industry model, preferable IBM Banking Data Warehouse (BDW) model
