Computer Task Group (CTG) is recruiting for seeking to hire a Print Lab Technician in Boulder, CO . This is a 12-month contract with the potential to convert into a permanent position. The Print Lab Technician is responsible for running tests and examining print quality and color output for the lab engineers.
Location: Boulder, CO
Duration: 12 months - W2 hourly contract, possible conversion
Work Schedule: Mon through Fri, 7a – 3:30p
Job Responsibilities / Duties:
Follow and complete test plans provided by PQ engineering staff
Plan work with input from engineers and schedule overtime to meet business needs
Prepare and organize print sample input (cutting and labeling samples)
Operate PQ lab equipment to measure samples and produce output data for engineers
Use MS Excel spreadsheets to organize and store measurement data corresponding to various operating points
Exhibit high quality standards by producing repeatable and reliable results
Interface with Ricoh management to provide coverage, improve processes and address operational problems
Operate Paper Testing equipment to measure physical properties for engineers as time allows
Apply basic knowledge of imaging and color science including color spaces to help engineers design new and more efficient testing
Perform defined equipment maintenance and calibration and keep records of calibration
Train other operators in equipment and PQ lab operations and procedures as needed
Contribute to a clean and safe working environment.
Able to work independently as well as in a group
Be able to handle a fast paced and often changing priority of projects
Able to handle multiple projects at once
Good organizational skills are a must
Willingness and ability to learn effectively
Knowledge of imaging and/or photography
Qualifications:
Normal Color Vision
Basic PC
Microsoft Office skills
Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator or similar
Basic programming skills or desire to learn
Scripting language skills or desire to learn
Statistical methods and testing background
Be familiar with operation of high-speed, digital printers using ink-jet and electro-photographic technology and associated pre and post processing equipment
