Title: Network and Computer Systems Administrator

Job Number: 18203427 Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, troubleshoot & perform systems admin. of AIX on IBM power 5, power6, power7, power8 servers

  • Responsible for IBM AIX, VIOS & SUSE Linux Server oper. system & tech level updagres

  • Perform system performance, monitoring & tuning of system for optimal performance using AIX tools

  • Plan & design IBM power serves for applications like SAP, DB2 udb, Informix & Websphere servers

  • Responsible for performance tuning, capacity planning & troubleshooting of issues with minimal downtime & design backup plans for critical prod. servers


  • M.S degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field & 3 years' experience in the job offered or 3 years' experience as a System Admin., Specialist or Engineer

  • Will accept B.S. (or foreign equiv.) & 5 years' experience in the computer industry in lieu of M.S. & 3 years' experience

  • Concurrent experience must include 3 years' experience with performance tuning, capacity planning & troubleshooting of issues & design of backup plans for critical prod. servers & 3 years' experience using AIX, Linux & VIOS servers.
