CTG has an immediate need for a LINUX Test Specialist for our Fortune 100 customer’s Power Series Product group near The Domain in Austin, TX.
Duration: 12 months , W2 ongoing multiple year Contract
Location: NW Austin, TX near The Domain – MUST work onsite
Job Duties Include:
As part of the LINUX System Test team, you will be using and testing different versions of Linux on Power Systems or pSeries products. The Linux distributions used include RHEL, SLES/SUSE and Ubuntu
Manual and automated testing using shell scripting and Python
LPAR (PowerVM) and guest (KVM) virtualization management
Networking, HMC, DLPAR, and LPM are some of the functional areas which will be used and tested.
Bugzilla and RQM are the repositories used for opening bugs and managing test cases.
Linux (RedHat, Suse or Ubuntu, preferably all three)
Strong VIOS and HMC (used to manage VIOS) skills are required
Virtualization (KVM or PowerVM, preferably both)
IBM Power Systems pr pSeries Server product knowledge or experience
System Test Experience / Server Test Experience
Network experience with servers
Scripting - Python and Korn
