Title: Integration Engineer
Job Number: 18209850 CTG is hiring multiple Physical Designers with IC integration experience to perform power grid physical design support for our Fortune 100 client’s POWER chip server processor. The Physical Design Engineers will be responsible for the physical implementation of units as part of a POWER chip using 7nm technology. We are actively seeking individuals with back-end physical design integration experience with IC implementations for server products.
Location: Austin, TX near The Domain
Duration: Long term, multiple year W2 Contract
Required skills and experience include:
Completed multiple ASIC/Custom microprocessor design projects from planning to tapeout using 20nm, 14nm, 10nm, or 7nm technology.
Block level floor-planning / Detailed Floor Planning
Power Grid Design
Clock Tree Design
Congestion, Power Density Analysis, Power Grid Design
Design Layout Generation and Extraction
Noise, Electro-Migration, Signal buffering and Signal Integrity
Place, Route / Routing, Timing Optimization / Timing Closure
Macro Pin Assignment and Legalization
DRC/LVS and other Physical Rule Checks
ECO design mode, EM/IR analysis and DRC/LVS Physical Design Verification
Experience with Cadence Design tools and EDA chip tools
Experience with VHDL
Experience with PERL and TCL scripts to assist with various Physical Design applications
Experience with Physical Implementation of large units as part of PowerPC server chip with 20nm or less is preferred
