CTG is seeking an experiencedC++ Developer forour Fortune 100 customer's Power Systems Firmware Development organization. This work will withLINUX Hostboot for Power Series Servers in northwestAustin, TX, near The Domain for a long term, ongoing, W2 contract.

The Power Firmware Development team produces firmware that runs on systems spanning enterprise level servers down to low-end servers. This firmware is integral to the Open Power Foundation and is used as a building block by the OpenPOWER foundation partners. This group develops the infrastructure for cloud, big data, and analytics by developing leading-edge technologies in hardware enablement, kernel development, and high performance computing for our client’s Power systems. Software developers within the Power Systems Enablement organization will work in the following areas: Firmware design, development, test, and customer support.

Our client develops a full range of technologies that power many of the world’s information systems, semiconductors, storage devices, networking components and other servers. Their Firmware also initializes hardware, manages system platforms and provides Reliability, Availability and Serviceability (RAS) and manufacturing hardware test functionality.

Skill requirements:

  • Team-based software development experience with demonstrated experience as a software developer or firmware developer

  • Demonstrated knowledge ofLinux, scripting languages, and testing techniques

  • Solid C++ Programming or C++ Development (11 and 14) skills for server firmware or on embedded systems

  • Solid C Programming or C Development skills

  • Perl and/or Python Scripting and Development skills

  • Development Tools & Process experience including Gerrit / Jenkins

  • Agile Development experience

  • Self-starter

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

  • Able to work well with a group of peers

Additional Information:

  • All interested individuals MUST be able to work on a W2 Tax basis (no C2C or third party vendors)
