Position: Payroll Specialist
Location: Creve Coeur, MO
Duration: 06/27/2022 – 12/31/2022
Pay:$30.84-$32.82 per hr, sorry no vacation or holiday pay
Hours: Monday – Friday / 8:00am state
Ensure adherence with policies, as well as all US Federal, State and Local regulatory compliance requirements as it relates to time and attendance activities as well to garnishment withholdings, payroll and employee income recordings.
Provide analysis and support in resolving complex pay issues including proactively administering data quality audits to reduce the risk of payroll issues/errors.
Manage all steps in the regular and off-cycle payroll runs by processing the payment cycles, administering and troubleshooting calculation errors, communicating disbursements, reconciling between payroll and 3rd parties and ensuring adherence to defined payroll policies and applicable laws.
Provide support on all tickets/inquiries from employees, managers, Legal, business partners and external inquiries/audits ensuring questions are addressed in adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLA) response times and challenging situations are handled with diplomacy and tack.
Stay current on internal & external policies, legal & legislative/ regulatory agencies impacting employee pay and income recording activities and analyze pay and details on employee statements to ensure compliance.
Support third party disbursements including the funding process with Treasury and external banking processes.
Partner with Separations Analyst, HR Business Partners and Legal in preparing for pay considerations on involuntary separation activities, including Reduction in Force, site closures, and/or job changes.
Identify, provide recommendations and implement process improvement opportunities to enhance delivery of payroll services to employees.
Provide support of garnishment activities including withholding maintenance and timely support of agency and employee inquiries.
Partner with IT and 3rd party provider for payroll system upgrade and year-end testing cycles; support HR demand testing when needed.
Establish and maintain strong partnership and communication with HR Business Partners, Legal, and other HR direct process teams while supporting HR initiatives.
Assist Team Lead in development, preparation and delivery of value added reports and metrics on payroll processing activities to support businesses in strategic employment initiatives.
Monitor payroll records for inconsistencies and provide guidance for correction process to appropriate teams.
Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
Create and maintain knowledge management system documents, Front Office communications and all process documents related to payroll activities.
Participate and/or lead projects as required.
Processing on and off cycle payroll. We have weekly, bi-weekly, bi-monthly, and monthly on cycle payrolls for the US, PR and Canada.
Answering employee questions that come to the payroll mailbox and our SSF Employee ticketing system.
Questions on garnishments and paychecks.
Garnishment uploads to ADP Smart Compliance.
