The primary role of the GVC Project Manager is to support and execute on the activities and tasks necessary to carry out the mission of the GVC: The GVC is a customer engagement and collaboration facility designed to showcase the values and capabilities of Lockheed Martin, while enabling employees and customers to build and enhance customer relationships.

Event Planning: Perform the following responsibilities in a professional and thorough manner in accordance with the GVC protocols. The GVC protocols were established from the Association of Briefing Program Managers world class program best practices.

o Partner with GVC event host and/ or event requestor, as assigned by the GVC Scheduler, to ensure customer events are executed in accordance with the customers’ event plans.

o Ensure customer event plans are aligned with Lockheed Martin and Government Affairs GVC protocols, such as alcohol policies, gifting and ethics policies, military and VIP protocols, facility maintenance, security and export compliance, etc.

o Ensure GVC customer event information is up-to-date and accurate in SFDC based on best effort.

o Partner with GVC support teams to carry out AV/IT, security and facilities event requirements.

o Partner with Demonstration Center Managers for demonstration center tours. (GVC ownership ends at the glass doors of the demonstration centers.)

o Ensure your guests have an exceptional experience based on the characteristics of an Association of Briefing Program Managers world class program. These best practices should be sustainable, repeatable and scalable.

o Brief GVC team and support teams on all relevant aspects of your assigned GVC events and meetings. This should include, but is not limited to, name of customer and organization, mission or function of customer’s company or organization, possible website review, purpose and objective for their visit, details about the attendees (VIP, military ranks, etc.), and association with Lockheed Martin.

o Welcome your event host on the first day of their event, and as needed on subsequent days, to provide a professional welcome and overview of the Global Vision Center.

o Professionally manage customer expectations amid ambiguity associated with customer facing positions.
