Engineering Document Control - As Built Drafter (2 positions)

CTG is recruiting 2 As Built Drafters that have experience working with engineering information management to join our Information Management and Document Control Services team in Anchorage, Alaska.

The As Built Drafters work as part of the Engineering Document Control team to provide support for project package closeout.

Duties

Project Package Closeout and As-built Drafting (Engineering Document Control) , to include receipt and verification of package for processing, review, recording and distribution. This team member will also apply redlines to native files (Excel or Autocad)

Ensuring CAD layering conventions are appropriate for each discipline.

Establish and follow a drafting checklist to ensure quality of returned drawings (e.g. markups verified).

Supersede outdated drawing information, if needed.

Merge and/or reconcile content across versions

Requirements

  • 3 years Expertise with Information Management and Document Control business processes in the Oil & Gas business

  • 5 years AutoCAD drafting expertise

  • Expertise in Quality Checking of CAD Standards and details in engineering drawings

  • Knowledge & experience with information and document control systems and databases related to engineering information and preferably in oil & gas industry.

  • Documentum or similar document management systems

  • Maximo

  • SAP

  • MoC systems

  • Proficiency with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office documents; especially Word and Excel

  • Advanced proficiency with excel; macro’s and visual basic function

  • Problem solving aptitude, works with minimal supervision, sees opportunities for improvement and is a team player

  • Knowledge & experience with major equipment and instrumentation – classification, naming standards, Maintenance Management Systems

  • Detail oriented for accuracy in database entries and document registration

  • Experience with quality systems

  • Advanced AutoCAD and other CAD application skills

  • Customer service oriented/experience

  • Can follow written procedures

  • Experience and knowledge of concurrent engineering practices and management tools

  • Use of database information to formulate reports

  • Knowledge and experience in refinery processes and business processes

  • Knowledge and experience with management of Capital and Expense engineering, design and construction projects and project stages including management of as-built drawings

  • Fundamental knowledge of Piping, electrical and instrumentation drawings

  • Knowledge of OSHA 1910 process safety and management of change regulations and related WISHA regulations

  • Knowledge and experience with auditing systems and documents
