CTG Semiconductor Lab Technician in Albany, New York

CTG is seeking to fill a Semiconductor Lab Technician opening for our client in Albany, NY.

Location: Albany, NY

Duration: 12 months with potential extension

Duties:

  • Support manufacturing operations by ensuring the efficient integration of engineering processes and equipment.

  • Assist in the design, setup, and optimization of production systems and processes.

  • Troubleshoot, test, and maintain manufacturing equipment and systems to ensure operational efficiency.

  • Collaborate with engineers and production teams to analyze process improvements, identify issues, and implement solutions.

  • Perform detailed testing, data collection, and analysis to support continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Develop and update technical documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.

  • Assist in the installation, calibration, and validation of new equipment.

  • Provide on-site technical support to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.

  • Support lean manufacturing initiatives, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

  • Maintain inventory and spare parts management for equipment and tools.

Skills:

  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and techniques.

  • Proficient in CAD software and other engineering tools for process design and documentation.

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering or technical support role.

  • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and maintaining manufacturing equipment.

  • Prior experience with process improvement and optimization in a manufacturing environment.

  • Familiarity with quality control processes and equipment calibration.

Education:

  • Associate’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
