CTG Semiconductor Lab Technician in Albany, New York
CTG is seeking to fill a Semiconductor Lab Technician opening for our client in Albany, NY.
Location: Albany, NY
Duration: 12 months with potential extension
Duties:
Support manufacturing operations by ensuring the efficient integration of engineering processes and equipment.
Assist in the design, setup, and optimization of production systems and processes.
Troubleshoot, test, and maintain manufacturing equipment and systems to ensure operational efficiency.
Collaborate with engineers and production teams to analyze process improvements, identify issues, and implement solutions.
Perform detailed testing, data collection, and analysis to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Develop and update technical documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
Assist in the installation, calibration, and validation of new equipment.
Provide on-site technical support to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
Support lean manufacturing initiatives, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
Maintain inventory and spare parts management for equipment and tools.
Skills:
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes and techniques.
Proficient in CAD software and other engineering tools for process design and documentation.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering or technical support role.
Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and maintaining manufacturing equipment.
Prior experience with process improvement and optimization in a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with quality control processes and equipment calibration.
Education:
- Associate’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
