Computer Task Group is seeking aManufacturing Engineering Transmission Electron Microscope(TEM) Sample Imaging technician for their client IBM in Albany, NY.

This technician will run the scanning electron microscopes here in IBM Albany.

Job Duties:

Perform basic TEM imaging (both bright field and dark field) with minimal supervision to help integration and process team to develop, monitor and optimize the device manufacturing process and improve yield. Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner.

Basic Skills, clearances and other elements required, in order of importance, and number of years’ experience, where applicable, in each skill:

• Operation of TEM (for example Thermo Fisher Metrios), 2 years

• Understanding of 3D construction of semiconductor wafers

• Must be able to locate specific locations on a wafer based upon navigation documentation

• Working knowledge of MS Office software or equivalent

• Experience performing routine tool maintenance and troubleshooting of common laboratory equipment

• Able to follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks and required documentation; demonstrate solid work performance in an environment requiring high level of attention to detail and timeliness

• Ability to work independently providing fast turn round TEM characterization of routine samples

• Ability to work well with a team and other duties as assigned; able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize activities

• Strong level of independence, written, and verbal communication skills required

Other Skills Desired, Years in each skill, where applicable:

Semiconductor cleanroom, 1-3 years
