CTG is currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineering Technician for our key client in Albany, NY. As a Manufacturing Engineering Technician you will be responsible for supporting laboratory wafer logistics and distribution. This is a W2 contracting position commencing 12/01/17 with no planned end date.
Location: Albany, NY
Duration: Open, with a 12/01/17 start. Reviewed and renewed annually as business needs dictate.
This position is responsible for supporting wafer logistics (moving wafers between control center and stock) and for supporting multiple electrical testing systems for chip diagnostics for logic and memory technologies, owning tool availability and calibration, setting up and implementing automated wafer test procedures, troubleshooting tool downs, training operators, coordinating lab operations, and addressing other lab concerns. Technician identifies improvement opportunities, defines actions, oversees tool recoveries, and maintains operations documentation and process controls. Overall, this is a fast-paced job requiring the ability to multi-task well and strong troubleshooting skills. Experience with electronics and computer systems is preferred. Position requires knowledge of or ability to learn SiView, web-based specification process controls, and tool vendor software. Strong teamwork skills and close interaction with operations, tool vendor and development organizations is required.
Tracking and physically moving wafers (in FOSBs) between storage, lab, and control center
Loading wafers on testers, performing initial wafer alignment, starting test, and monitoring successful test completion
Debugging test issues and taking corrective actions
Working with development engineers and test tool owners to set up new wafer tests
Basic Skills required in order of importance:
Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or physical science field of study (e.g.. Physics, chemistry) is required
Strong computer skills and experience with Excel is required. 1 year
Strong communication skills and writing skills is required to provide adequate instructions and pass downs. 1 year.
Semiconductor fab experience preferred
