CTG is seeking to fill aCompact Model Release Engineeropening for our Fortune 100 client inAlbany, New York.

Project Location:Remote

Project Duration:12 months

A person in this role has experience with the creation, verification, and use of compact models for semiconductor devices. A person should be able to work with existing compact models to verify correct operation, and be able to help with troubleshooting and diagnosis. This person should also be able to interact with circuit designers, model development team, and device designers.


  • Interact with model development team, device team, and TCAD team to support and verify compact model parametrics meet specs before delivery to designers.

  • Assist with day-to-day output verification and target benchmarking of existing compact models, and creation of regression testing

  • Assist with designer interaction and support of designer feedback and development requests

  • Creation of reports and documentation detailing model status and gaps.

Skills Required:

  • Experience with semiconductor compact models, creation, verification, operation, 5 years or more

  • Experience working with SOI device compact models, 5+ years

  • Experience working with finfet compact models, 3+ years

  • Experience working with Synopsys compact modeling software suite (ICV, StarRC, hspice).

  • Candidates must be team members comfortable working in a multi-company environment

  • Selected candidate will interact with customers extensively through daily meetings.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group is required.
