CTG's premier global client in West Sacramento, CA has a 5-month contract assignment for a Shipping & Receiving Warehouse Coordinator. There is the potential for extension after the initial contract period.
The W2 hourly pay rate is $19.00/hr.
The purpose of the Shipping & Receiving position is to ensure that the company's standards and regulatory requirements for the safe shipping and receiving of materials needed to support operation of company laboratories and facilities are met.
POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Packaging, receiving and transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous materials using appropriate material handling equipment including pallet jacks and forklift.
Perform a variety of warehouse and shipping tasks including tasks related to compliance with DOT, IATA and other applicable transportation regulations.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the field of shipping, receiving and warehouse operations including refilling of shelves with stock from bulk area, inventory and advising of low counts.
Implements the completion of all required transactional steps to ship or receive material. Packs and ships materials to various destinations. Receives, unpacks, checks and stores R&D related items and/or materials.
Provides assistance when requested, in preparation of research and development samples for local or international shipment.
Stocks incoming materials in assigned locations. Optimizes and rationalizes material storage in warehouse and other location in West Sacramento buildings. Partners with Procurement to quickly resolve issues related to receiving and warehousing of materials.
Maintains safe/clean work environment by keeping shelves and floor area neat and well organized.
Must be able to climb, bend, kneel, squat and lift 50 lbs.
Associate Degree (with 1-2 yrs experience) or High School Diploma or Equivalent (with 3-4 yrs experience).
Experience in a laboratory, biotech manufacturing, or other applicable field.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Federal, State and Local safety regulations required including DOT and OSHA.
Forklift License and Experience required.
Knowledge of International Logistics and/or Incoterms will be very helpful.
