Our client in Webster, NY has an immediate opening for a Software Scrum QA Engineer for a 12 month contract assignment.

Essential job functions:

  • Responsible for performing development scrum team validation for web portals and software applications for multi-function device and printers.

  • Create test plans and test cases for execution during the development phases of the project.

  • Work closely with software development engineers to understand test objectives, with very little supervision.

  • Familiarity with full lifecycle development of application methodologies using the following: .NET Framework, Visual Studio, Azure. Familiarity with database applications (MS SQL Server). Knowledge of Web-based technologies (HTML, ASP.NET, JavaScript and XML).

  • Provide transparency into daily activities to ensure efficient and accurate test execution.

  • Assist with user documentation and some program specifications.

  • Ability to document bugs and prepare test reports (specifically regarding bug statuses).

  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and written.

Additional Requirements, Skills and Qualifications:

5 years of software test engineering experience

Minimum: BS in Computer Science
