CTG has a client in Webster, NY who has an immediate opening for an Applications Developer - C Version 11 for an exciting contract assignment.
Application Developers are responsible for being the subject matter experts and key contributors to designing, coding, testing, deploying, debugging and documenting software applications. You will work closely with Systems Engineers and Project Managers, as well as customers. The candidate should also have experience in Agile software engineering practices. The work environment is fast-paced, challenging and somewhat demanding. The development cycles are short (often 4 -12 weeks or less). **Some travel may be required, but will only be needed when there is a critical integration with one of the other development sites.
-Participate in technical evaluations as a member of a project team.
-Work alongside software testers and development staff to maximize efficiency and quality, as well as eliminate errors.
-Understand and apply new software and hardware technologies, as necessary.
Additional Requirements, Skills and Qualifications:
-At least three (3) years of developing software applications
-Expertise in C version 11 and OOD.
-Windows 8 Embedded OS
-Ability to debug and troubleshoot technology problems rapidly and work with third party software.
-Ability to write and execute test scripts.
-BS Degree in Computer Science or related field is mandatory
-Gtest (Google Test) experience
-Clearcase and ClearQuest experience
-Understanding of Agile terminology and principles
