Computer Task Group is

seeking a Lab Operations Technician to work a 7 month contract in Gaithersburg,

MD.

Description:

Position: Lab Operations Technician .The

primary role of the Subcontractor will be to provide lab operations technician

support for the ERAM system. The support provided by the subcontractor shall

meet the schedule needs required by the FAA customer, as directed by the Buyer

management/technical lead.

Subcontractor personnel are expected to perform their work

during the normal work schedule. Subcontractor personnel are expected to

publish a valid phone number in the Global Address List at which they can be

reached during their normal work schedule. This work requires a regular Monday

– Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm shift schedule work week. Overtime and weekend hours

may be required to complete assigned tasks. General requirements:•

Skill/Experience/Education

Mandatory:

a) General hardware installations and modifications

b) Ability to pull cable under floor and above rack within

cable trough

c) Troubleshoot hardware issues

d) AIX, LINUX, SUN SOLARIS, Dell, HP knowledge

e) Managing printer queues,

f) Managing system storage

g) Help Ticket resolution - problem isolation through problem

resolution to delivery of tested fix

h) Help Ticket support - problem identification/analysis

i) Problem determination, provide factory support to the

fielded sites in the areas of document processes and procedures where applicable

j) Submit status report as requested by Lab Management

k) Other tasks as appropriate to support the

development/maintenance team. Work independently

m) Be responsible for owning projects and tasks

1) Performs a variety of duties in the electronic,

mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas. Constructs, troubleshoots,

calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components,

devices, or systems. Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or

verbal instructions. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports

data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes

adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed

compounds and solutions. Minimum of High School Education.

2) 3 year’s technical experience in troubleshooting and

repair of data network hardware

3) Good communication and interpersonal skills

a) Knowledge of laboratory configurations similar to those at

the Gaithersburg campus

d) SAN

e) Linux and AIX/UNIX administration
