CTG is currently seeking a Test Technician for a long term onsite opportunity anticipated to be a long term engagement. The work is located in Rochester, MN.

This position is for a mechanical/acoustic engineering candidate in the Shock/Vibration and Acoustic Development Compliance Department at our client site located in Rochester, MN.

The positions supports the design, manufacture and failure analysis of computer hardware. The technician will have the opportunity to work on a range of mechanical analysis, mechanical test, acoustic analysis and acoustic test.

Currently the laboratory is active in the area of mainframe hardware development and testing for Power and Storage systems.

The client prefers a degree however equivalent work experience will also be considered.

Test execution and evaluation of Structural(Shock and Vibration) and Acoustics solutions for Storage products.

Efforts include product design reviews, testing, level predictions and producing agency approvals. Work will involve interfacing with thermal and mechanical development engineers to develop optimum and cost effective solutions.
