CTG's premier global client in Pittsburgh, PA, has a 6 month assignment for a Transactional Accountant! This position will be the subject matter expert and primary responsible for Accounts Receivable, ensuring cash transactions are properly and timely recorded and reported in accordance with global Accounting guidelines and group policies. In addition, this position will be responsible for select Accounts Payable and Travel & Expense tasks and will provide backup and project support for the Transactional Accounting team as needed.

Major responsibilities of this position are:

  • Subject Matter Expert on Accounts Receivable matters which includes collaboration with the Global Accounting, Shared Service Center and local department members on Accounts Receivable projects, process improvements and issue resolutions

  • Handle and resolve inquiries from the Shared Service Center on unidentified cash items

  • Perform daily positive pay suspect check monitoring

  • Execute monthly closing responsibilities including an activity review of all cash GL accounts and a detailed reconciliation of the AP checks outstanding account

  • Perform AKM reconciliation and monitor aged AR / AP open items

  • Monitor and ensure proper clearings within special vendor accounts (Customs, Freight, etc.)

  • Provide support to resolve AP and T&E escalations

  • Backup and project support as needed

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA Accounting or Finance

  • Strong AR background

This position pays on a W2 hourly basis (no C2C or 1099's).
