CTG's premier global client in Pittsburgh, PA has a 12-month contract assignment for a Project Manager with Telecommunication Cabling Infrastructure experience. There is the potential for extension after the initial contract period.

The maximum W2 hourly rate is $56.39/hr (depending on experience).

POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


Provide initial client contact to assess scope of work, schedule and resources necessary to successfully complete a project.


Prepare a complete estimate for selected project with a detailed review of plans, specifications and bid form.


Plan and organize a project under the directions of a Network Infrastructure Manager.


Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policies.


Supervise the preparation of all change orders on the project. Negotiate all change orders on the project and monitor construction activities to ensure project is being built on schedule, and within budget.


Investigate any potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures within company guidelines, and under supervision.


Supervise the preparation of any and all change quotations for presentation to the prime client. Negotiate all change quotations to a conclusion.


Represent the company in project meetings.

REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES


10 plus years’ experience in structured cabling and associated skills.


5 years’ experience in the management of complex structured wiring projects.


Must have a proven track record of success on handling multiple projects valued $ 1M or greater.


BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) or PMI/RTPM Project Management Certification, preferred but not required.


Can be a combination of training, education and relevant work experience.


Must possess superior technical design understanding and ideally hands-on productivity skills in the mandatory categories.


All aspects of copper cable plant.


Cat 5e, Cat 6 cable plants.


Multi pair riser and tie cabling.


All aspects of fiber cable plant.


Single mode installation and termination.


Multimode installation and termination.


Must have working knowledge and be proficient with all types of test equipment.


Cat 5e and Cat 6 tester of various manufactures.


Fiber light source and power meter tester.


OTDR


Ability to understand and follow standard operating policies and procedure.


Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance.


Effective performance management skills.


Extensive knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.


Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, etc., basic ability to use AutoCAD).


Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary.


Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.


Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position.


Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player.


Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others.
