Computer Task Group is seeking candidates for a project at our client site in Palmdale, CA. This position is W2 with CTG, with all work taking place at our client site.

The person in this position will be responsible for the structural design, installation, and integration for various structure and subsystems on a unique aircraft. Engineer must be capable of taking structural design and systems/subsystems requirements and developing installation designs including line replaceable units to antenna separation, bonding requirements, hydraulic, fuel, auxiliary power, and environmental control system tubing and harness routing. Candidate will be completely responsible for various subsystem LRU's integration into the airplane for installation. They will be expected to identify and coordinate with the affected disciplines from Avionics, Software, Electrical, Structural Design, Material and Process Engineering and develop complete design solutions. Required to create detail designs including 3D lay-outs, assemblies, and installation drawings using CATIA V5. Must create separate detail parts lists to accompany drawings.


5 or more years experience in the design of aircraft primary or secondary structures.

Proficient with CATIA V5.

A current secret clearance is not required, however, the ability to obtain a secret clearance is mandatory.


Bachelor or above Degree in an Engineering Technical discipline.

Experience with composite structure design or manufacturing.

Experience with hand stress analysis for initial part layout.

Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

Excellent writing and communication skills.
