Computer Task Group is seeking a Propulsion Engineer to work a 8 month contract position onsite at their client's location in Palmdale, CA.

Description

This position will support an ADP (Advanced Development Program) effort as a propulsion engineer. Responsibilities include conducting installed 1-d gas turbine performance simulations, inlet and exhaust system trade studies, assisting in defining propulsion installation specifications, propulsion ground testing, and analysis for component and full vehicle applications. The candidate must be comfortable planning technical tasks, including associated cost and schedule estimates. Good leadership skills, good communication skills and strong interpersonal and presentation skills are highly desirable.

Must be a US Citizen or legally authorized to work in US. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications

Experience in one of the following specialties:

Propulsion Analysis

Propulsion Design (inlet and exhaust systems).

Installed Propulsion Performance Predictions

Propulsion Integration

Propulsion testing or wind-tunnel testing

System requirements

Skill/Experience/Education

Mandatory:

-- Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.Preferred 5 years experience with Propulsion Analysis

Experience with Propulsion Design (inlet and exhaust systems). Preferred candidate will have active clearance

Desired:

Experience with a strong background in advanced inlet and exhaust system design and development

Experience with engine supplier coordination

Experience with subcontractor management

Experience with propulsion test and qualification experience

Experience with Project Management, project planning and earned value management

Experience with proposal execution and developing new business opportunities
