We have a full-time Contract opportunity for a Chemist 1 to work onsite for our client, a Fortune 500 global supplier of paints, coatings, specialty materials at their Monroeville, PA location.
The successful candidate will be results-focused, team-oriented, and able to excel in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will be expected to prepare samples for Atomic Spectroscopy, such as ICP-OES and ICP-MS, run basic experiments with the techniques, and assist in maintaining the instrumentation. The successful candidate is expected to contribute in creating a safe laboratory work environment.
BS in Chemistry or related degree
Basic knowledge of one or more of the following techniques preferred: ICP-OES, ICP-MS, Flame AA, Graphite Furnace AA, Classical Wet Chemistry techniques
Experience with sample preparation and related laboratory skills
Excellent organization, multitasking, and communication skills
Excellent teamwork ability
Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills
Strong computer skills
