Job Title: Senior Business Analyst

Location : Irving, TX

The Business Analyst is responsible for working with Product Management or Business Operations to develop user stories and a product backlog to support business needs. The BA participates in planning and design sessions, and provides clarification on product requirements. The Business Analyst also manages the request process by collaborating with the Product Owner/Manager to define and justify new product developments/projects. The BA must be able to work at a detailed level while maintaining the big picture of overall product goals and the supporting system design.

Position Details:

  • Works as a liaison between end-users, product management, and development to gather and document user requirements, translating them into user stories

  • Develops and maintains product backlog(s)

  • Plans and conducts interviews with business owners and stakeholders

  • Conducts gap analyses to identify solutions that are cost effective and which meet business requirements

  • Collaborates with development team to ensure design meets customer requirements

  • Participates in Agile ceremonies, driving the discussion during sprint planning and user story grooming

  • Supports project team during design, development, and QA testing by clarifying requirements questions

  • Assist stakeholders/end users with UAT

  • Responsible for complying with metrics to measure progress of group or department issues

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and a strong customer-facing presence

  • Knowledge of Business Process analysis and diagramming

Functional/Technical:

  • Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies

  • Ability to master the complexities of multiple business areas or applications

  • Knowledge of test methodologies

  • Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent required

  • Work Experience: 2 - 5 years of SDLC business analysis required, Requirements gathering and documentation skills, Business requirements elicitation and analysis skills
