Job Title: Information and ETL Analytics Technical Lead

Project Duration: Contract, 3 to 6 months (will be extended)

Project Location: Hickory, NC

Work Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm Mon-Fri, no OT w/out prior approval

Pay Rate: $45.35 to $64.75 Hourly, DOE (no Benefits)

$83,750 to $119,750 annually – DOE, Salaried Limited Benefits

Job Overview

The Information and ETL Analytics Technical Lead must have a firm grasp of industry standard BI implementation methodologies, as well as in-depth experience with the Microsoft BI Stack (SSIS, SSRS and SSAS) version 2008 and above. Must have current experience working in a technical leadership and support role in addition to the experience/skills listed below

Required Skills / Experience (MUST have to be considered)

BA/BS degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or related field

8 years of experience in architecting, designing, developing, supporting, and implementing BI solutions

Excellent understanding of developer and support processes including SDLC, project management, change management, and architecture process.

Business intelligence/data warehousing technology skills with proven expertise in Microsoft BI stack (SQL Server, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI, and TFS)

In-depth knowledge of building complex multidimensional/tabular cubes and querying them using MDX/DAX (Microsoft SSAS)

Proven experience with SAP BW development and maintenance

Expert in multidimensional data modeling concepts and design

Experience in fine tuning the performance of SSAS cubes (tabular or multidimensional)

Expert in design, development, and support of SSRS reporting platform

Advanced experience with ETL/data integration methodologies and patterns (Microsoft SSIS)

Experience with Tableau reporting platform

Good knowledge of Oracle and SQL database technologies

Required Communication and Analysis Skills

Team player; ability to multi task

Strong communication skills and a strong self-starter attitude

Analytical thinker; strong problem solving ability

Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications to design and deliver optimum solutions for business needs.

Strong business analyst skills, able to work with many different stakeholders to elicit and document requirements

Strong estimation skills and strong track record of accurate estimations for BI solutions

Data gathering, research and analytical abilities so as to develop insightful conclusions and generate solutions to address user needs

Desired Skills / Experience (nice to have)

Knowledge of ITIL is desired

IT Architecture Management experience

SAP - BW experience

Knowledge of Informatica and Dell Boomi ETL platform a plus

  • Proficiency in Google Analytics; Google Analytics Certification preferred


Completed BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field
