Job Title: Process Electrical Engineer
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Provide Electrical Design support for Melting Furnace Installations, repairs and equipment upgrades
Provide support to Controls/Electrical Design efforts for Melting, Forming, modify or edit electrical drawings based on design engineers’ guidance
Thoroughly document all designs/developments according to design engineer to ensure fast and efficient technology transfer to Display Technologies facilities.
This is a deputy role that supports electrical design engineers on drawing revision, electrical equipment or device site measurement such low power test, phasing check activities.
Role within group:
Support design engineers on documentation to the requirements/specifications for new electrical designs in order to meet customer needs for cost reduction and new functionality.
Implement modifications to existing worldwide power systems and provide inputs to technology migration plans for these designs.
Primary Role is Technology Design Support and provides 3rd level support to production facilities worldwide as needed.
Projects involved with:
Various development projects to support Melting, Forming, and Controls/Electrical activities using both internal and external resources.
Rebuild and expansion project support (international and domestic)
- International (Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and China) and domestic travel are required up to 20%
Manager Must Haves:
College or BSEE with fundamental understanding in Modern Power System Design (architecture and detailed level design) including SCR Controllers, Transformer Design, Efficiency, an understanding of National Electric Code and other code compliance standards.
Fundamental understanding of Electrical Engineering Control Systems (Digital and Classical Control System Theory)
Fundamental understanding of Electromagnetic Theory (Inductance, impedance derivation and calculations)
Fundamental understanding of Digital circuit Design and Electrical Devices (SCRs, Circuit Breakers, Power Cables, etc.)
