CTG haspermanent jobs available for experienced Senior Hardware Engineers with Chip Design experience in Marlborough MA.We are actively seeking experienced Chip Design and Hardware Design engineers who would be open to relocation to Marlborough MA.
Design the next generation of high-performance processor chips in leading edge CMOS process technology.
Significantly enhance, maintain and support in-house synthesis, place and route flow for next generation products.
Provide technical direction to other members of the team and collaborate with them in developing the flow.
Address various physical and other issues, deliver a place and route flow to tape out next generation products successfully using industry standard EDA tools.
Collaborate with team members from various disciplines like RTL, PnR, global timing, clocking, full chip integration etc. as part of this task.
Interact with appropriate EDA vendors to resolve tool issues.
Required Skills, Education, and Experience:
Experience with successfully developing and supporting a place and route flow using industry standard tools is required.
Strong scripting skills are required (PERL, TCL, UNIX shell etc.).
Must have effective interpersonal and teamwork skills
Excellent communication skills.
Demonstrates good analysis and problem-solving skills.
Has an inherent sense of urgency and accountability.
Must demonstrate initiative and a bias for thoughtful action.
Grounded, detail-oriented, always backs up ideas with facts.
Must have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
BS in EE with 12 years of relevant experience, MS with 8 years of related experience.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Experience in designing high speed (>2 GHz) /high performance processor SOC products is a plus.
Hands on experience for all aspects of chip development process with proficiency in back end design tools and methodologies is a plus.
Good understanding of hardware description language such as Verilog is a plus.
Experience in interfacing with RTL and Physical Design teams is a plus.
