Project Duration: Consulting Position, 2 months with possible extension

Project Location: Fairport, NY

Job Title: Digital Hardware Designer

Work Hours: 8 am – 5 pm, M-F

Pay rates: $50-70/hour, DOE and benefits choice

Job Overview:

•Design, develop and de-bug hardware platform for wireless communications with stringent size, power and cost constraints.

•Design, develop and test Digital Control Logic.

•Work closely with software team to integrate and de-bug hardware platforms

Education and Experience Requirements:

•2 years of experience

•Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Comp Science or other related field is preferred

•Expertise in digital systems ranging from portable wireless devices to Compact PCI systems

•Digital circuit design and schematic capture

•Experience designing with Bluetooth, USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, DDR ram

•Must have experience with Board bring up

•Microcontroller other component selection experience

•Design for Testability and Manufacturing

•System and Timing Analysis

•Understanding high-speed PCB design and EMC compliance issues

•Altium Designer

•VHDL simulation (ModelSim)

•Excellent analytical and communication skills

•Highly motivated self starter, well organized

Preferred experience:

•Flash and NFC experience is desired

Additional Information
